Greeley’s engagements are confidential by default. The case studies below are anonymized at the institutional level and drawn from the principal’s direct experience
leading communications inside major Gulf institutions over more than two decades. They illustrate the kinds of work we do — not a substitute for a direct conversation
about whether we are right for a specific institution.
The engagements below represent advisory contexts in which Greeley has supported institutions in navigating these moments.
All examples are presented without attribution to preserve institutional confidentiality.

Higher Education
Challenge
A new graduate research university in Saudi Arabia, established with major sovereign backing and global ambitions, needed to build credibility with international academia, attract world-class faculty and students, and establish a public identity in a politically complex environment — from a near-zero starting point.
What we did
Led communications, media relations, and reputation strategy across the institution’s formative years. Worked with founding leadership to articulate what the institution stood for and why it mattered. Built media relationships with global higher-education and science press. Developed reputational strategy for moments of public scrutiny and managed sensitive communications throughout.
Outcome
A globally recognized institutional identity, durable media relationships across higher-education and science press, and a communications function capable of supporting an ambitious research agenda over time.

Innovation Ecosystem
Challenge
A major new educational and innovation initiative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia required a coherent public identity from the ground up — in a high-visibility, politically complex environment, with global academic and government stakeholders watching closely from the start.
What we did
Advised sector leadership on strategy, sensitive public relations, and crisis communications. Served as secretary to the international steering council in support of senior leadership, engaging a global network of academic and government stakeholders. Supported faculty in developing and communicating stories of impact across education, research, and innovation.
Outcome
A coherent institutional identity established through the formative period, structured engagement with global stakeholders, and an internal storytelling capacity that gave faculty the tools to communicate their own work.
Sector
Research and Innovation
Challenge
A specialist artificial intelligence university in the UAE was producing substantive research with significant national strategic value, but the work was reaching specialist audiences only — not the funders, policymakers, and global partners who needed to understand its relevance.
What we did
Built the research storytelling function, working directly with the Provost to articulate the value of fundamental and applied AI research to national priorities. Cultivated tier-one media relationships to surface research and innovation stories with regional and global reach. Supported the President’s office in hosting high-level events featuring top global academics and regional dignitaries, and supported broader university efforts around graduation, faculty recruitment, student attraction, and emerging university startups and initiatives.
Outcome
Sustained tier-one media coverage of the university’s research, a recognized external profile for the institution and its leadership, and an editorial cadence the institution could carry forward.
While each engagement reflects a different institutional context, they share a common challenge:
